A Simple Pastry Bag for Melted Chocolate
A pastry bag is a useful kitchen tool with several jobs. It can decorate cakes, fill doughnuts with jelly or custard, and shape meringue, whipped cream, or mashed potatoes. It is also easy to make a small disposable bag at home. Ingredients: - Cooking parchment or wax paper - A small amount of melted chocolate Method: 1. Roll the paper into a cone. Leave one end wide and make the other end narrow. 2. Spoon the melted chocolate into the wide end. 3. Fold the wide end several times to close the bag. 4. Cut a small hole in the narrow tip. 5. Squeeze the bag gently to pipe the chocolate. For other foods, you can use a reusable cloth bag or a disposable plastic bag. Metal or plastic tips fit inside the wide opening. They can make round, star, leaf, or flower shapes. A very small hole is useful for a small amount of chocolate. When the chocolate cools and blocks the paper bag, discard the bag. The image shows many shiny metal piping tips in different shapes and sizes.Sources & licenses
