Iguaçu Falls: A River That Splits into Many Falls
Iguaçu Falls is not one simple waterfall. It is a wide group of waterfalls on the Igazú River. In the aerial image, the river spreads around green islands and rocks. Then it drops in many white curtains of water. This makes the place look like a whole landscape of waterfalls, not just one fall. The falls are on the border between Argentina and Brazil. They are in Misiones, Argentina, and Paraná, Brazil. Some parts of the falls reach about 82 meters high. From above, the water looks calm in some areas, but it becomes powerful and fast near the falls. The surrounding forest is also easy to see in the image. The name is written as Iguaçu Falls in English, while the river is called the Igazú River in the source. This natural place shows how one river can create many different views in the same area.Sources & licenses
